BEST LICENSED PROPERTY CATEGORIES
This section of the website includes all the information and wherewithal to enable you to enter all of the property award categories of The Licensing Awards 2024. Licensor and brand owners may enter as many of these award categories as they wish and enter as many different licensed properties into each category. A separate submission needs to be made for each licensed property being entered. NB: These awards are for activities and achievements in the last year. The only exception to this is the Best Licensed Classic Property, which is based on the licensed property’s evolution over the last decade and beyond. The awards are free to enter.
Timing: The property (and licensed products) must have appeared in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 and May 31 2024.
Which properties can be entered: The licensed property can be from any medium, but needs to demonstrate successful involvement in licensing of consumer goods and services over the last year in the UK. Brand owners/licensing agents may enter as many licensed properties into as many of the award categories as they wish, but a separate entry submission must be made for each property.
The Winner: The award will be presented to the owner of the licensed property or the licensor who handles the licensing activity in the UK.
How to enter: This award category can only be entered on-line. Simply complete this on-line form.
The deadline for entries is Thursday 30 May 2024.
Judging Criteria: Entries will be viewed on-line by a panel of industry experts (including retail buyers, licensees and respected consultants).
Each licensed property submission will be judged on the following criteria:
Commercial success over the last year
Marketing and communications over the last year
Creativity and innovation over the last year
For all The Licensing Awards property categories entered online you will need to register and create a password. Once you have done this it will mean that you will be able to save your submission progress as well as go back and edit an entry right up until the deadline.

BEST PRESCHOOL LICENSED PROPERTY (0-5)
Open to: This award is for licensed properties aimed at 0-5 year olds. The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 and 31 May 2024.
BEST CHILDREN'S OR TWEEN LICENSED PROPERTY (age group 5-12)
Open to: This award is for licensed properties aimed at the children’s or tween market (5-12 year olds). The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 and 31 May 2024.
BEST TEEN OR ADULT LICENSED PROPERTY (age group 12 and above)
Open to: This award is for licensed properties aimed at the teen or adult market (aged 12 and above). The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2022 to 31 May 2023.
BEST FILM LICENSED PROPERTY
Open to: This award is for licensing activity based around a film property. The film property could be aimed at any age group. The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
BEST LICENSED GAMING PROPERTY
Open to: This award is for a specific licensed property that has gaming as its origin. The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
BEST SPORTS LICENSED PROPERTY
Open to: This award is for licensed properties from any sports field (excluding sports celebrities). The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
BEST MUSIC OR CELEBRITY LICENSED PROPERTY
Open to: This award is for licensing activity for a specific licensed music or celebrity/personality property aimed at any target age group. Nominees could be celebrities/personalities, either living or deceased, from all disciplines including entertainment, sport, culinary, design, art or music. The property (and licensed products) must have been active in the UK market during the period 1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024.
BEST CLASSIC LICENSED PROPERTY
Open to: This award is for properties that have stood the test of time (with at least a decade of licensing activity). The winner joins previous winners in The Licensing Classics Hall of Fame. Previous year’s winners are Barbie, The Beano, Mickey Mouse, Miffy, Paddington, Peppa Pig, Peter Rabbit, Pokémon, The Snowman, Star Wars, Thomas & Friends, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and Wizarding World.
